Library Blog

I recently attended the American Library Association's (ALA) annual midwinter meeting in Boston. The highlight of the conference is always the Monday morning announcement of the award winning books for children and young adults published in the previous year. The Newbery (awarded to the author) and the Caldecott (awarded to the illustrator) medals and honors recognize books for children up to age 14, and are the oldest and most recognized awards.
