Cytonic is a book about a girl named Spensa who decides to venture into the Nowhere to help her friends back in the Somewhere. She has many adventures in the borderline Nowhere along with her AI-powered drone and a guide. This book is part of an ongoing series that follows the story of Spensa, and I highly recommend reading the previous books to know as much as possible about this series. The characters in this story feel real due to their humanlike tendencies and motivations. This makes them easy to relate to.
The story contains multiple plot twists and action scenes that will keep you on the edge of your seat, like the dueling part. The book constantly delivers a steady, balanced stream of panic, humor, and action. This book is truly a masterpiece of dystopian fiction. The character design and the deadpan humor make this a book well worth your time. Once you pick up that book, you won't be able to put it down until you've read the whole thing! Sometimes, it may feel confusing to follow along because of the constant change in setting, but everything will be explained, in time.
Readers who have a very active imagination or can follow along with very fast-paced action are sure to like this installment in the book series Skyward. Star Wars fans won't be disappointed either!
