Kids and Teens entering Grade 12 and younger are invited to join the Summer Reading Club!

Babies in Bloom

It’s never too early to come to the library!
Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their babies (up to two years, unless noted otherwise) for a fun-filled half-hour of stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays all specifically designed to stimulate early infant development.

Tuesday, July 30 at 2 p.m.

Simple crafts, activities and games will celebrate Hogwarts for the newest Harry Potter fans.  Costumes encouraged.

National Night Out

Tuesday, August 6 at 5 p.m.

Celebrate National Night Out to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness. Block party style events include police and fire vehicles, K-9 demonstration, children’s activities, information kiosks and free refreshments.

Workspace Technology—Workforce 50+ Connection

Thursday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Workshop focuses on current technologies that are used in today’s work environment and is surely a plus for jobseekers aged 50+ who are anxious to be job ready. The last 20 minutes of the class is dedicated to sharing resources and understanding the workforce development system in Anne Arundel County.

Ask a Master Gardener

Saturdays through August from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ask gardening questions and bring your bug, weed, or plant in a sealed plastic bag for analysis.

Knitting Night - Infant Caps for the Local Hospital

Tuesday, August 27 at 7 p.m.

Come for an evening of knitting infant caps for a local hospital. We have the know-how, the pattern, the yarn, and light refreshments. Bring your own #10 needles and your community spirit. Register by calling 410-222-7915.
