English Basic Skills

Free English classes offered by Anne Arundel Community College integrate listening, speaking, reading and writing skills for students with minimal English training.

Classes are offered at the Maryland City at Russett and West County branches. Please call each branch for more information and for a schedule of classes.

Job Search Specialists

Get job search help, including job application assistance, resume help and referral for further training as needed, from a job search specialist through a partnership with the Anne Arundel County Public Library and Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation.

Tuesdays, from 3 to 7 p.m.
Wednesdays, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Income tax assistance for seniors and low-income residents

Tax-aide volunteers from AARP, trained by the Internal Revenue Service and the Maryland Comptroller's Office, will assist taxpayers over 60 and those in low-income tax bracket file their Federal and State returns, AARP membership is not required.

Maryland City at Russett: Wednesdays, beginning February 1 through April 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. The drop-in service requires no registration and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

One-on-One Basic Computer Training

Work individually with a librarian in a scheduled session. Learn how to access your library account; place a hold and renew books; search special electronic databases, and set up a free email account and more. Reservations are required. Please call or visit the branch to schedule an appointment.
