Babies in Bloom
It’s never too early to come to the library!
Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their babies (up to two years) for a fun-filled half-hour of stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays all specifically designed to stimulate early infant development.

Storytimes are presented for children -- see age specifications below. Parents and caregivers must accompany two and three year-olds, while children four years and older may attend alone, providing an adult remains in the branch.

The War Came by Train: The B&O Railroad During the Civil War
Wednesday, May 1 at 7 p.m.
Local Civil War historian and author Daniel Carroll Toomey discusses the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, one of the leading railroads in the nation when the Civil War began. Toomey is the author or co-author of 10 books relating to Maryland during the Civil War including The Civil War in Maryland, Baltimore During the Civil War and The Maryland Line Confederate Soldiers Home. Book sale and signing will follow the presentation.
