Stan Fisher, Naval Officer, history professor at the US Naval Academy and author, presents his argument that, during the Second World War, America's naval war against Japan did not achieve sustained success until enough enlisted aircraft technicians were available to support the high tempo of aviation operations that fast carrier task force doctrine demanded. His discussion will show the major role that Naval aviation maintenance played in the US victory over Japan in the Second World War.
