Architects and library officials on Tuesday evening unveiled details of the interior layout of the new $24 million Annapolis Regional Library slated to open at the end of 2019.

The new 32,500-square-foot facility will be built on the site of the existing library, though closer to West Street in Annapolis. The old building, built in 1965, is due to be demolished early next year.

A public meeting held last June discussed the exterior design and the rough layout of the interior. Tuesday night's meeting at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts presented the nitty gritty interior layout.
