Branch staff are empowered to stop printing that violates
the policies in the library's Internet and Printing statements and/or local,
state, and federal regulations.
- Patrons can print 5 black and white pages per day free-of-charge.
Additional black and white pages can be made at a cost of 15 cents each.
- The library's computer management system counts the number
of copies made by a patron on a daily basis.
- Color printing is now
available in all branches at the cost of 40 cents per page. There are no
free color printed pages.
- Patrons pay for printing by depositing money in
the Automatic Payment Machine (APM) at the branch. Up to $10 can be credited
for an account at a time. No refunds will be granted on unused funds,
however, the credit remains on the account and can be used for future printing.
The APM accepts cash only and does not give change. APM credit cannot
be used for fines or other library charges.
- If it becomes necessary to add money to an account during
a patron's session, he or she can lock the PC while adding money at the
APM.
- Only the paper loaded in the printers by library
staff may be used. Patrons may not load any paper, labels, transparencies
or other media in the printers.
- Any print job sent to the printer before the end of a
patron's session will print in its entirety, regardless of whether
a new patron logs on to the computer.
- Patrons should report any printing
or computer problems to the Library staff.
By using the computer systems of Anne Arundel County
Public Library you signify that you understand and agree to this policy
and those outlined in the AACPL Internet
Statement.
