AACPL Staff Favorites of 2022

Happy December, friends!

We hope everyone has had an incredible 2022 filled with action-packed fiction, gripping memoirs, riveting mysteries and magical fantasy adventures. We know our year at the library has been filled with all of the above! There have been some spectacular new releases throughout 2022 and we want to celebrate them. At the end of every year, AACPL staff from each of our 16 locations (and Headquarters) pull together our absolute favorite new books published throughout the year and put them in a list to share with all of you.

This year on our list you can find a plethora of powerful choices such as the boldly honest memoir, I'm Glad My Mom Died by former child star, Jennette McCurdy, a heartwarmingly inclusive children's book titled All Are Neighbors by Alexandra Penfold, and a thrilling YA horror novel in The Getaway by Lamar Giles. From bestsellers to some lesser-known hidden gems, these lists feature all of our staff's picks for the best of the best from 2022. We hope you enjoy these books as much as we did.

You can check out our lists through the following links or explore our picks in the slides below.

Happy reading!
