Event Details

This course is FREE. Maryland law specifies that anyone born on or after July 1, 1972, must have a Certificate of Boating Safety Education to operate a mechanically propelled vessel on Maryland waters. This two-day course satisfies that requirement.  While the course will be offered in English, Spanish speaking students, with a moderate facility in English, are welcome. There will be a Spanish version of the exam available. A translator will be attending, and as time permits, can offer some assistance, but only on a limited basis, because of the extensive content of the program. Due to the nature of the course, registration is required. Those registrants, who expect to need partial language assistance, should indicate that in their registration.

La ley del del Estado de Maryland especifica que cualquier persona nacida en o despues 1ro de Julio de 1972,  debe tener un certificado de educación en seguridad nautica, para operar una enbarcación de propulsion mecanica en aguas de Maryland.  Este curso de dos dias satisface este requisito. Aunque el curso sera ofrecido en inglés, los estudiantes de habla hispana con moderada facilidad en ingles son bien venidos. Para quien se sienta mas comodo de dar el examen en español habra una version del examen en este idioma. Un traductor estará disponible, i si el tiempo lo permite, puede ofrecer alguna asistencia pero solo en bases limitadas debido al extenso volume del programa. Aquellos solicitantes que consideren necesario recibir asistencia linguistica parcial deben indicarlo en su solicitud de registro.
