Kirk Douglas plays James McLeod, a hardened police detective with zero tolerance for crime. At home, however, he is a loving husband to his wife, Mary (Eleanor Parker). McLeod is ready to put the screws to Dr. Karl Schneider (George Macready), responsible for the death of at least one of his patients, but McLeod's hatred for the doctor prolongs the investigation. The detective soon uncovers a dark secret that threatens to destroy his sanity and ruin his life. Detective Story was nominated for four Academy Awards and also stars Lee Grant, William Bendix, Joseph Wiseman, and Cathy O'Donnell.

We are delighted to welcome back special guest Alan K. Rode, film historian and author of Michael Curtiz: A Life in Film
