Cantaré introduces audiences to the beautiful songs and rhythms of Latin America , drawing from the musical heritage of the Caribbean, Central and South America. Cantaré performs songs in Spanish and Portuguese, while sharing the music’s cultural and historical background. Audiences learn about the history of Latin America and the different cultures that shaped their music – Native American, European and African - while becoming familiar with the languages, rhythms and musical instruments from the different countries. In this highly interactive bilingual performance for the whole family, audiences are invited to sing, play percussion and dance a basic Latin rhythm such as salsa or merengue.
Cantaré presenta bellas canciones y ritmos Latinoamericanos de la herencia musical del Caribe, América Central y América de Sur. Cantaré presenta canciones en español y portugués, compartiendo la historia cultural de la música. El público aprenderá acerca de las diferentes culturas que influenciaron la música de América Latina (indígena, europea y africana) escuchará ritmos e instrumentos musicales de diferentes países. En este programa bilingüe altamente interactivo para toda la familia, Cantaré invitará al público a cantar, a tocar instrumentos de percusión y a aprender pasos simples de bailes latinos tales como salsa o merengue.
