Hundreds of films have been made about the Cold War, the 1947 - 1989 period of U.S and Soviet Union heightened hostility and tension. For our Summer Film Series we’ll screen four of the best.

Join us as Annapolis cinephile, Ann Glenn, introduces each screening with fascinating facts and insights about the film’s production, actors and director and why it’s a standout. Each screening begins promptly at 6:00pm in the library’s large meeting room. Includes post-screening Q&A.

The true story of Homer Hickam Jr., a high school student in rural West Virginia, who seemed destined to repeat his father's harsh life in the coal mines, until he turned his attention to the skies. 1 hr. 48 min. Rated PG.
