Accidents happen, but thoughtful preparation can mean the difference between tragedy and triumph. Join the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Herring Bay for a 3 hour course intended to educate all boaters about the dangers of cold-water accidents. Cold air and cold-water temperatures pose a real danger to boaters. Tragic incidents from cold water and hypothermia occur each year in cold-water boating accidents. This course will present useful knowledge in preventing such incidents and offer a special video viewing of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Cold Water Boot Camp training.

American Sign-Language (ASL) interpreters are available with advanced notice for library-sponsored programs. To schedule an interpreter, complete this request form at least 24 hours prior to the event date.  For questions, email translations@aacpl.net.
