Special Donors Get a Sneak Peek

On November 25, donors who made leadership gifts to the library foundation's Beyond Your Expectations: The Campaign for the Library between 2016 and 2019 met in the under-construction new Annapolis Library on West Street.

They were there to experience a hard hat tour of the rooms and spaces in the library that will be named in their honor when it opens in late April.

Foundation's Brick Campaign Raises $156,900

The library foundation’s first-ever brick campaign was a resounding success. Over 1,200 donors donated 1,569 engraved bricks. These red pavers will make up the main walkway from the parking lot to the front entrance at the new Annapolis library, scheduled to open in spring of 2020.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the community’s response,” reported Foundation Executive Director Ann Glenn.
“I was hoping there would be at least 500 bricks donated but when the brick orders kept coming in, I was thrilled. People really do love the library!”

Board Members Attend CML 2019 Conference

Members of the library foundation board recently attended the Citizens for Maryland Libraries (CML) 2019 annual conference at Enoch Pratt Free Library. The CML is a coalition of interested citizens, libraries, library board and foundation members and library professionals throughout the state who work to create greater public awareness of the need for, and services of, all libraries.

"Why I Support the Library Foundation"

Foundation inaugurates the Anna E. Greenberg Legacy Society. Born out of the success of the foundation’s Beyond Your Expectations: The Campaign for the Library, the Anna E. Greenberg Legacy Society acknowledges and honors those friends of the library who establish a planned gift of at least $50,000, or make a gift commitment of at least $50,000, designated to the foundation’s endowment.
