Neighbors in Annapolis’ Bay Ridge community joined library foundation directors, library trustees and staff for a plaque unveiling ceremony at the Eastport-Annapolis Neck Library. Located in the Discovery Dock within the children’s area, the plaque honors Bay Ridge neighbors’ contributions to the Bay Books & Breezes fundraising event held last summer by Randy Rice and Susan Duncan.

Library Foundation Supports New Branch in Annapolis Mall

The library foundation is helping to bring a new branch of the Anne Arundel County Public Library to the area. Discoveries: The Library at the Mall.

Bubbly, Books and Blue Jeans on the Bay raises funds for Beyond Your Expectations Campaign

Due to the hard work of a committee of Broadneck volunteers, more than $25,000 was added to Beyond Your Expectations: The Campaign for the Library in September. Thirty seven donors made gifts totaling $25,844 during the “Bubbly, Books and Blue Jeans on the Bay” fundraising event held at the home of Fran and Rich Becker.

Chelsea Chaney's gratitude and good memories toward the library were part of The Chaney Foundation’s decision to award $100,000 to Beyond Your Expectations: The Campaign for the Library, earlier this year.

Severn Bank Bookdrop Plaques Make Debut

The Severn Bank plaques were placed at five branch bookdrops in honor of the bank’s $100,000 gift to the Foundation’s Beyond Your Expectations campaign, the proceeds of which are being used to improve interior spaces, enhance technology and expand library outreach activities in each of the library’s 15 branches.

Community Gatherings Support Beyond Your Expectations Campaign

In June, the Anne Arundel county communities of Bay Ridge and Gibson Island and Pasadena were the site of fundraisers to support the foundation’s Beyond Your Expectations campaign. The two gatherings raised over $33,000 for the campaign.
