Gifts given to the Library Foundation make our 16 branches more welcoming, better equipped, more convenient and better places to learn and grow. Your contribution to the Library Foundation helps give teens a place to study after school, adults a place to use computers for job searches and ensures Every Child is Ready to Read. Your support matters!
Donating to the Library Foundation is easy and gives back to the Anne Arundel County community in ways that make a difference. There are several convenient ways that you can help:
Online – To make a one-time, monthly, quarterly or annual tax deductible contribution via credit card click here.

Donation Boxes – Each of our 16 branch locations has a Library Foundation donation box located near the circulation desk. Remittance envelopes are available to ensure your gift gets to the Library Foundation as soon as possible.
Workplace Giving – Workplace giving campaigns such as Maryland Charity Campaign (code: 6972), Chesapeake Bay Area Combined Federal Campaign (code 65778) and United Way (code 65778) allow you to donate by spreading out payroll deductions over the course of a year.
Employer Matching Programs – Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift program, contact your Human Resources Department. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
Become a Partner -- Our generous corporate and local business partners provide start-up funds for innovative programs and incentives and awards for Summer @Your Library (formerly the Summer Reading Club) participants. They underwrite educational programs like our STEM Day and sponsor For the Love of the Library, our annual fundraising event. Remembering the Library in your Will - Planned gifts are an integral part of ensuring our library’s excellence for generations to come. Planned gifts can also provide you with valuable tax benefits, and even lifetime income. The Library Foundation accepts a variety of planned gifts including Bequests through Wills or Trust, Charitable Gift Annuity, Charitable Remainder Trust, Retirement Plan Assets and Life Insurance Donation.
