Ms. Smith graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree and received her Master of Library Science from the University of Maryland.
She retired from Arnold Elementary School where she spent 25 years as a school librarian. Prior to that, she taught fourth and fifth grades at Eastport Elementary for 12 years.
Ms. Smith has been active in local and national library associations including Beta Phi Mu, as well as historical organizations such as the London Town Public House Commission and Anne Arundel County Trust for Preservation. She was a longtime member of the Annapolis Chorale and presently sings with the Anne Arundel Community College Encore Chorus.
Member
