2018 theme: "Libraries Are For Everyone"

Anne Arundel County Public Library's 8th Annual Teen Cover Art Contest has begun, and this year's theme is "Libraries Are For Everyone."

Teens ages 11 to 18 are invited to participate as long as they have a valid AACPL library card (a library card is free to anyone who lives in Maryland). Submit artwork to any AACPL Library location or email aacplsocial@gmail.com by April 30th.

Make sure to check out this webpage for full details on the contest requirements.

Participants and their families will be invited to a reception in May to announce the winner. The winning artwork will grace the cover of the Fall 2018 issue of Library Happenings, and the artist will receive a $75 gift certificate to ArtThings in Annapolis. A second place winner will receive a $25 gift certificate. Entries will be shared on the AACPL Facebook page and displayed outside Discoveries: The Library at the Mall.

We look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations!

what if we aren’t able to attend the winner reception but in the case we are a winner? will someone new be chosen?
Hi, Mina, Good question. The winner is not required to attend the reception. Of course we hope they are able to so we can celebrate with them, but we will certainly understand if it isn't possible. If necessary, we will get in touch with the winner and coordinate getting them their prize after the announcement. Kelley J. Public Services Assistant
