Free informational handouts provided by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services department including Welcome to the United States guides, pocket study booklets for the Naturalization test, language identification guides and more! Civics and vocabulary flashcards are also available to borrow in the library.

Mr. Root and Mr. Max, two beatboxers from Baltimore, present a live music and movement program focusing on vocal percussion and language awareness for all ages.

 


 

Teen Art Night
Thursday, April 13 at 6:30pm

Be the first to try out Eastport's new button maker! Decorate your own button or use the library's designs! Snacks and materials will be provided. Registration required. 

 


 

My Gym: Fitness and Fun
Monday, April 17 at 10:30am

An instructor from My Gym teaches how various types of exercise and fitness movement, like balance and tumbling, helps children learn. Participate in a warm up, skill station, obstacle course, game, and dance. Wear athletic shoes and clothing to move in.
Ages 2-3 years with adult. Registration and signed release form required.

 


 

Open Mic Night
Monday, April 17 at 7pm

Come join us as an audience member or a performer for a night of songs, dancing, and poetry at our open mic night! Please make sure your act is family friendly. All ages are welcome! Acts should be a duration of 3-5 minutes for each person or shared act.

Registration is required for each individual act or one registration per group. 

 


 

Preschool Storytime
Tuesdays at 10am

Children ages three to five (with caring adult) build the early literacy skills needed for school readiness through engaging books, songs and activities

Babies in Bloom
Wednesdays at 10am

Babies from birth to 18 months (with caring adult) enjoy songs, action rhymes and playtime while building early literacy skills. A great way to get to know other families in your community!

Toddler Time 
Thursdays at 10am

Children ages 18 to 36 months (with caring adult) enjoy a variety of developmentally-appropriate stories, songs, rhymes and movement activities while building early literacy skills.
