Discovery Docks are centers for creative and educational play, located in each of our 16 branches. The Discovery Docks provide a welcoming space for children and their caregivers to spend time together in an informal environment.

Each Discovery Dock is unique depending on the space available and items selected by the staff at each location. Some examples include child sized kitchens with play food and dishes, train sets, blocks, dolls, cars and trucks, puppets and theaters, dress up clothes, puzzles, counting and math toys and, of course, books!

Discovery Docks support many of the elements of Kindergarten Readiness and Early Literacy to help every child in our community get ready for school.
