Cathy Belcher is a dedicated philanthropist and community volunteer. A native of Vancouver Canada, she came to Annapolis in 1998 and immediately began her quest to support and give back to the community.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Hospice of the Chesapeake and was most recently a member of the Anne Arundel County Public Library Foundation Board and the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts Board of Directors.
Together with her husband, Ms. Belcher has financially supported many not-for-profits in Anne Arundel County including, Anne Arundel Medical Center, Hospice of the Chesapeake, the Anne Arundel County Public Library Foundation and various arts, education and health care organizations.
She and her husband have received numerous accolades for their work including being named Outstanding Volunteer Fundraisers of the Year by the Maryland Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Philanthropists of the Year by the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County and Influential Marylanders in Philanthropy by the Daily Record.
She lives in Edgewater.
