Event Details

Explore the vernal pools at Patuxent Research Refuge's North Tract. We will read a story, learn about vernal pools and the creatures that call them home, and take a short hike. Then we'll roast marshmallows by the campfire and share our observations. Geared toward ages 3 +, but ALL who are young at heart are welcome! 

This event will be held rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather
