Gifts raised on Library Giving Day directly support Summer @Your Library (S@YL) and similar programming for readers of all ages.
Last year, you wowed us by raising over $56,000 to support S@YL! This program is largely funded by the Library Foundation through your generous donations. There are programs, supplies and incentives that simply would not exist without financial support from donors like you - every dollar counts.
Did you know that S@YL provides a much-needed benefit to county children? S@YL develops summer reading habits and prevents the “summer slide” by preparing children for the upcoming school year - both are vital components to building a strong foundation for school success and the joy of life-long reading. In 2022, S@YL hosted over 1,581 programs for more than 48,605 county residents.
