Photographing, Filming and Recording Policy

Anne Arundel County Public Library allows for photography, filming, and recording of the library buildings, programs, or collections in accordance with the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Members of the media are requested to notify the Marketing and Communications Manager before photographing, filming, or recording.

All people, regardless of origin, age, background, or views, possess a right to privacy and confidentiality in their library use. The library reserves the right to act to protect the privacy of library users, including any personally identifiable information, computer use and selection of library materials.

The library reserves the right to restrict access to private and staff work areas. Those who are photographing, filming or recording do not have the right to interfere with a library employee’s work, impede emergency response, or create a hazard.

Staff will address abusive or harassing behavior in accordance with the Library’s Code of Conduct.
