Tax Preparation Assistance

Mondays, February 3 – April 13 from 9 am - noon.

Sponsor: AARP. AARP membership is not required. Trained volunteers are available to answer tax questions and assist with tax preparation. Not eligible if you have farm income, rental property income, or self-employed income with a net loss.

Meet With A Social Worker

A licensed social worker is available to meet with individuals and families on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 5 pm. The social worker will be on-site to connect customers with county and state resources available for financial assistance, immigration help, substance abuse counseling and more.

This service is provided through a partnership with the Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services.

One-on-One Computer Training for Adults

Work individually with a librarian and learn to access your library account, search the catalog and the Internet, navigate electronic databases and set up a free email account. Instruction in Microsoft Word may also be available.

Technology

This library offers computers free for public use. Customers can sign up for one hour of computer time with their library card number. It may be possible to extend time if others are not waiting.  

All public library computers offer Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint. 

Software and documents can be temporarily saved on computers and will be erased when the customer logs off. 

Copying and printing are available for $.20 per page for black and white, and $1.00 per page for color. Wireless printing from your mobile device is also available; learn more here.

Faxing is available for $1.00 connection fee and $1.00 for each page. Scanning is available at no cost.

Free wifi is available at all library locations.
