Summer @ Your Library Kick-off Celebration
Monday, June 21 through Saturday, June 26
Celebrate Summer @ Your Library with Severn at our week long kick-off event. Drop in anytime during the week to visit our activity stations and register for summer reading. Enjoy a scavenger hunt, create your own animal mask, and so much more! Visit us on Thursday, June 24 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm and Saturday, June 26 from 11:00 am - noon for a special opportunity to snap a photo with Sneaks, our library mascot!

START Family Book Program
Monday, July 19
The START (Serving, Thriving and Reading Together) Family Book Program is a reading and discussion program that encourages meaningful connections among military and civilian families. Family START helps families engage with the humanities while addressing the challenges military families experience. Families who register will receive a set of picture books and a discussion guide for parents which includes tips for engaging children in family reading. Kits will be available for pickup from Monday, July 19 through Saturday, July 24 at the Severn Library. The books are on loan and must be returned to the Severn Library by Saturday, August 14. Both military and civilian families are encouraged to register. One registration per family.
Thursday, July 29 at 6:30 pm
Join your Severn neighbors for a fun family game night with Summer Bingo on Zoom. Small prizes included in the kit for the whole family. Kit pick up starts Monday, July 19th. Kits must be picked up from the Severn Library by 6 pm on Thursday July 29th.
Make and Take Programs
Stop by and pick up a program in a bag for children and families! Kits may vary, while supplies last.
The Healing Library: Death of a Loved One collection is available at all Anne Arundel County Public Library branches. The kit is a briefcase-sized bag which includes books, activities, and local resources gathered by professionals to help explain death to young children and navigate the journey of healing.
